‘The association Twiteho Umukenyezi Yibugenze, initiated by Shekinah Center, has given our families so many benefits.
Before, when pregnant, we wouldn’t be able to know the state of our health or that of our unborn child,
But since we joined this association, we have been trained and gained knowledge on our reproductive health.
Women are well taken care of. They are taken to the hospital and they receive proper medical care throughout the pregnancy.
They really care for us. They have taught us how to best feed our children and ourselves for better health.
They have taught nutrition and nutritious foods such as vegetables and how to prepare it without destroying the necessary nutrients.
They have also taught us how to better care for our families and households
Since the coming of this association ‘Twiteho Umukenyezi Yibungenze’ women no longer give birth at home.
We go to the hospital and receive the medical care we require.
If a women or a child of a women par of the association falls ill, the association ensure they get the medical care they need.
The association has gifted us a goat to help us to care for ourselves and our household.
We have already experienced the benefits of owning the goats. We get manure for our plantations.
We plant vegetable and other foods for proper nutrition of our households.
We are very grateful to Micheline, for bringing such an association to our commune of Rusaka. There is no other association like this one in Mwaro.
We are very thankful and we wish her to continue growing this association across the country.’
