Malnutrition is the biggest factor contributing to the high child mortality in Burundi. 58% of Burundinan children under 5 years are malnourished.
Health and nutrition have been proved to have important impact in educational success. Our kids need better nutrition that will allow their cognitive and special memory to be actively stimulated.
Therefore, Shekinah school feeds the pupils. Shekinah has also built a poultry as one of the best solutions to the malnutrition issue. By regularly feeding the pupils with eggs from this poultry, their health is fast improving as proteins from eggs are good treatment against malnutrition.
